"I love the special effects they have used on it," said DJ Talent of the finished BOGOF trailer. "I really enjoyed filming the advert; I thought it was great fun." So too did the thousands of fans who logged on to view the clip on YouTube or saw it air on channels including Fiver and Living during its television run. "I love DJ Talent. Great video!" said one poster on YouTube. "Hilarious. When I saw that I was in fits." was just another of the many supportive comments the BOGOF advert has received since its debut.
Squeezing the campaign shoot into his busy schedule was tough for DJ Talent – the rapper is currently working flat out to promote his latest single with a string of live dates and personal appearances all around the country. "I've been very busy," said the star. "My schedule hasn't left me much time to do anything else. I've haven't even been able to watch any of The X Factor!" Despite having to move heaven and earth to appear in the BOGOF commercial, DJ Talent is glad that he could find the time: "BOGOF Bingo is the best bingo site in Britain," he says. "So I'm proud to be part of it."
Filming for the advert was, thankfully, a relatively painless process. DJ Talent's possesses a natural ability in front of the camera, with a personality honed through years spent rapping at tough gigs and, later, his stint on Britain's Got Talent, which attracted millions of viewers across the UK. He's also spent time under the studio lights as a guest on chat shows including Vanessa and Trishia, both of whom were blown away by the sheer force of his larger-than-life persona. The results made for not only a great showcase for his microphone skills but also one of the most memorable bingo adverts of recent time.
