When the king of hearts and the two of diamonds appeared, she admits to being "stunned". It caps a remarkable 2009 for the modest production administrator. Earlier this year, her boyfriend proposed in front of a special audience of family and friends.
New heights for free bingo

Free bingo has scaled new heights. An intrepid team broke the record for the world's highest bingo game at the end of an arduous two-week trek in the Himlayas. Janet Pankhurst, 60, has recalled the moment the bingo balls and dabbers emerged from the backpacks. If you're wondering what on earth possessed them to climb Everest, rest assured it was all for a good cause. The climb raised more than £100,000 for cancer charity Sue Ryder Care.
