Smoking may be allowed in bingo hallsBingo clubs to receive smoking dispensation?

A change in the current national smoking ban may make it legal for people to smoke in bingo clubs. There has been an increase in the amount of bingo club closures since the ban was introduced in 2007. Indeed, 130 bingo clubs have reportedly closed their doors during this time. This comes in addition to the 2,365 pubs which ceased trading in the UK last year. A full review could come with the arrival of a new government.

Protestors arrested after club closure threatBingo fans protest club closure

Some people will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they can still play bingo. Indeed, free bingo fans may have some sympathy for the 16 protestors in the US who were arrested after protesting the seizure of bingo machines from a bingo hall in Alabama. The Greenetrack hall where they were removed from is facing closure with 400 employees losing their jobs. Among those arrested was Democratic State Senator Bobby Singleton.
